Wintergreen Cafe is a cozy spot tucked into Jamaica, NY, that feels like a quiet corner away from the usual hustle of the neighborhood. It’s the sort of cafe where locals come not just for a quick caffeine fix but to settle in with a laptop or catch up with a friend over thoughtfully made drinks and homey bites.

The atmosphere leans toward warm and inviting rather than sleek or café-chic. The space encourages lingering — whether you’re seeking a calm spot for studying or just a place to refresh mid-day. You’ll find a mix of solo visitors working quietly and small groups sharing moments over colorful bubble teas or fresh pastries.

Wintergreen’s drink lineup stands out for variety and playful flavors. Beyond well-crafted lattes and Americanos, they offer refreshing takes on tea with options like passion fruit green tea and taro bubble tea. For something different, the creme brulee bubble tea or seasonal mango jelly add-ins bring a bit of texture and sweetness that locals seem to come back for.

Food-wise, the menu balances familiar comfort with little twists that hint at attention to detail. The flaky chicken patties have drawn consistent praise, as has the egg and cheese croissant, which comes together as a satisfying breakfast or snack with a buttery, soft brioche bun. Those looking for a bakery treat won’t leave disappointed: almond and chocolate croissants, muffins, and mini donuts round out the selection.

Wintergreen Cafe fits best into the daily rhythms of residents who want a friendly, laid-back vibe without traveling far for quality coffee and light eats. The weekday mornings and early afternoons tend to be the sweet spot—ideal for grabbing a pastry and a latte before work or taking a break in the afternoon with a bubble tea. The staff’s easy friendliness adds to the welcoming feel, making it a natural spot for regular drop-ins.

Prices here lean a touch higher compared to your standard grab-and-go, but the little extras in taste and presentation make it feel worth it. Whether you’re in Jamaica looking for a place to quietly power through emails or meeting someone for a casual catch-up, Wintergreen strikes a balance between comfort and a bit of thoughtful café charm.

This is the best cafe in the neighbourhood. I went there with my friend. Its not only about the food, the love and care you would get with the food served will be the best tonic for your whole day at the work. They have quite a good number of beverage, different flavoured coffe and tea. It would just refresh your mind and soul. If you take a look at the menu you would see that the price is also quite affordable.

I’m in love, I’m obsessed! Living in queens village means trekking up to northern blvd for cafes for working & sipping, but now we have our own little cafe east of Jamaica! I’ve been here at least 3x a week since I discovered wintergreen cafe 3 weeks ago. Their lattes are great, bubble tea is perfectly sweet (try with the mango jelly so yummy), their chicken Pattie has the most amazing flaky puff pastry, and the vibes are so nice here. I’m so grateful I have somewhere I can come to for work, to sit with my mom & chat, to meet a friend for a catch up! Congratulations on this beautiful space, wishing Wintergreen success!!

3/22/25 -Tasty!! Mango-lassy, not in the menu yet but really good with added mango popping boba ask for it but mostly on Saturday's, not sure about other days until it is officially in the menu ^.^ -Had their tomato-mozz , honestly one of the best Ive ever had and Ive had a few of these in my life! Pictures below Update 3/16/25 -I still love this little place but I am sharing my sincere thoughts on a drink I ordered-- their mango milk tea and I was a little disappointed. It was a little too processed for me in flavor and their "regular sugar" was not that sweet at all. Ive had their taro milk tea, also processed in flavor but more enjoyable. I haven't had it by the hands of the same person who makes my favorite coffee. It was a different person. However, if one person is able to make this mango milk tea good, then, unfortunately it isnt the drink but the person making it. Second Saturday Visit -Their mozz-pesto- tomato was also good. I will say, perhaps on the expensive side but good. Original post: -Their drinks were so good. I complimented saying it tasted better than Starbucks and I love Starbucks! To be fair, I added brown sugar and salted caramel to my coffee. Food was good too. There isnt a lot of choices so far. However the avocado toast was good and the simosas were very good too. I tried all of them, my least favorite was the tomato-cheesy one but it was still enjoyable, just not my favorite. Man at front (perhaps the owner) was kind and I would 100% come back! Ps: To the owner--- While there, I noticed that moments where you get busy you dont always see when a customer is waiting to order specially when they dont say hello. Ive noticed other small business have a bell by the door. Maybe that could help?

The Café is an amazing place to study, sip your Gulab Jamun latte and enjoy a delicious chicken melt sandwich with a slice of honeycomb bread in the side. My everyday go-to.

Truly a hidden gem! Me and my daughter wanted to spend some bonding time at this cute Cafe and found very unique and creative flavors! I ordered the Gulab Jamun Iced Latte and my daughter had a Raspberry Matcha that was so flavorful! We also ordered a Nutella and Strawberry crepe and espresso milk cake which was sweet to perfection! We also had some savory snacks such as the samosas and chicken patty which had the perfect mix of spices! This is now our go-to mother daughter spot and will definitely plan Sunday brunches here as a new tradition!
